A Salvadoran national wanted for murder in his home country was arrested in Fairfax County, as federal agents tracked him down in Northern Virginia, according to ICE.
Marco Tulio Lopez-Romero, 44, was arrested in Reston on Tuesday, March 31, by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers. In Fairfax County, agents located Lopez-Romero in the Washington, DC region and took him into custody outside his home following an investigation into his whereabouts.

A Maryland woman and a DC man are dead after a wrong-way crash on the Capital Beltway in Northern Virginia, Virginia State Police announced.
Tremayne Gross, 24, of Washington, DC, and Meghan Elizabeth Mathis, 32, of Westminster, were both killed in a head-on crash early Sunday morning, July 6, on I-495 in Fairfax County, according to state police.
Investigators said the crash happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the northbound Express Lanes near mile marker 48.

The death of Northern Virginia's Morgan Schmidt Parker, a mother of two, has left "a giant hole in our family that can never be filled," her family said.
Parker passed away in late January in Landsdowne after suffering complications of the flu following a 38-year life that was as unexpected as her death.
Born in June 1986 in Prince George's County, Parker weighed less than 3 pounds, and "wasn’t expected to make it. However, as a baby, she fought hard and proved the doctors wrong," according to her obituary.

Alejandro Jose Abarca Pena died on Tuesday, April 9, after a battle with cancer, according to a campaign launched for his family. More than $9,400 had been raised on a GoFundMe for Alejandro's family as of Tuesday, April 23.
